Repurposing an antique door is one of the easiest projects for the home. Usually, old doors are used for table or counter tops, but that requires carpentry skills and possibly a sheet of glass to make the paneled surface flat and usable.In this Barcelona apartment, by Marc Canadell Design and featured on CasaSugar, the salvaged door is simply screwed to the wall above a bed. No modifcation was necessary to make the door into a headboard. The finish was obtained by stripping the paint and applying a wax sealer. The waxed whitewashed color gives the piece a velvety texture!
